Anyone who had the ‘luxury’ of a university education in the last 30 years should be supporting the student protests. The problem is that once students leave the educational cushion they become part of the problem - self centred, pursuing the dream – forgetting those that need to come after them- a real I’m all right jack attitude, especially if the goal is the goal of capitalist success – the post Thatcher - new coalition dream
Antonio Negri was right in that we have all been conditioned and mis-educated to just comply with authority or perceived authority. That authority is a false social construct and is only possible if no challenge is made.
When the means of democratic opposition, ‘the voice’, have been denied by the system then any means necessary needs to be used to make the establishment sit up and listen.
